Alex K. Yoshii
Guitarist and Composer

Bio

Born in Vienna to an Austrian mother and Japanese father, both classical musicians, Alex K. Yoshii picked up the guitar at age 12.  He spent ten years studying Music on his own, then attended Vienna Music Institute and Vienna Conservatory, where he graduated in 2004. He took workshops with Randy Brecker, Steve Vai and Scott Henderson, to name a few.

Alex played in numerous rock bands before moving towards jazz and classical music during his college time. A broad musical interest led him to collaborations ranging all the way from progressive rock to chamber music; fusion to singer-songwriter folk - and back.
